This was a popular piece in the Instagram previews, although I should have taken a vote - are those amazingly detailed animals on each side depicting a Fox or a Wolf?
The fox would probably be a more commonly found motif for this antique ring. During the antique period they were used to represent intelligence and wisdom, along with aligning with the hunting motifs from the period (hunting dogs, rabbits, boars, etc.)
But for some reason when I first saw it, my first thought was wolf. Maybe the way the paws are extended to hold up the signet face, it just made me think of the big bad wolf! I suppose the motif can be whatever the buyer prefers it to be.
It has an ornate monogram engraved on the face - tough to decipher, I see C / G / maybe an O?
A great unisex design with a nice and sturdy hand feel and larger footprint on the finger. Could be worn as a whimsical power pointer or as a man ring as well.
Stamped 10k, I usually carry higher carat gold but I have plenty of lower carat pieces in my personal collection. They still have lovely hues and are actually more durable! This one has a pale rosy gold color, it's quite pretty.
Note that there are no green or dark spots to the gold, it just sometimes reflects the leaves of the trees etc.
Beautiful to stack, also interesting worn alone.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Evidence of a sizing only visible on the inside of the shank. Not a ton of patina, a pale rosy color but certainly legible!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
