ABOUT:
Interesting and sparkling French ring with nice sized transitional cut diamond set in 18k yellow gold with platinum linear accents. This geometric beauty is vintage to Art Deco era.
Unique design makes a great chunky unisex band. The platinum stripes become the prongs holding up the floating diamond which measures around half a carat.
The gypsy ring was incredibly popular during the Victorian era into the early 1900s and its timeless design remains an ever favored and wearable choice for today.
Antique box not included, it will come in a modern box.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Currently a size 7. The knowledgeable high end dealer who sold it to me told me it was half a carat / 0.5 carat. The stone is a little over 5mm, so it seems to align with the estimate given to me. The piece weighs a sturdy 8.2 grams. Great quality hand feel.

French hallmark for 18k & Platinum with a goldsmith stamp.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. The diamond has a small nibble / chip to one edge of the girdle. Even when looking for it I can not see it with my eye. It is visible under magnification where you can see the girdle edge curve slightly. Other than that, Age appropriate surface wear for this estate piece. Amazing color and sparkle to this old stone, I don't see a single inclusion even under strong magnification. There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings. Still nicely formed and very sturdy. But my disclaimer as with all my antique pieces, this is not a mint condition item.
