ABOUT:
Sparkly and interesting antique diamond pendant set with seven chunky old mine cut diamonds totaling around 1.3 carat total weight in antique diamonds. Really a timeless design the way it is set in a linear pendant that graduates slightly as the stones increase in size. Looks like a design that would be relevant to wear still today. Comes as pictured on 18k white gold chain.
It's quite pretty alone or could even be worn with yellow gold to add some sparkle. I like mixing metals : )
Found in France, the pendant is older I know, but I'm not sure if the chain is original to it? The chain is stamped with the French mark for 18k on the loop and on the clasp. I can't find any marks on the pendant.
Any additional items or props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.
MEASUREMENTS:
Chain is about 16 1/2 inches in length. Pendant with chain weighs 5 grams.
The diamond line pendant is 29mm in length by 5mm at the widest and 3.7mm deep.
Largest bottom diamond is about 4.2mm cushion cut, then 4.1mm, 4mm, 3.5mm, 3.3mm and 3mm. Depths vary and exact weight is unknown as I would not remove the stones but some chunky cuts and high crowns, estimates to a little over 1.4 carat total weight in diamonds.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
They are typical antique diamonds with some varying hues, a slight warmth. The fourth stone from the top is translucent / milky in color all the way through. The others have some frosty specks, slightly eye visible. They are all sparkly, none are dull or lifeless, even the milky one.
I noticed a slight warmth in patina towards the very bottom of the pendant. I wonder if they maybe reinforced a prong there or heat tested it or something. It cleaned up a bit but still appears a bit warmer in the recesses. Not glaring, but I try to mention every little thing I see.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
