FRENCH ANTIQUE 18k GOLD Solid 1.4g Victorian Dog Clip Clasp Swivel Pendant Holder Extender Connector Parts

Big stock drop of some vintage to antique bits and bobs, charms, chains, pendants etc., all from my inventory trips to Europe earlier this year.

ABOUT:

These are just nice to have on hand when building your neckmess / neck stack. There are plenty of reproductions of these made but this is an actual French antique piece. This one swivel about a half turn.

Nice and sturdy dog clip / clasp. This was probably originally on a watch chain, but I like to keep one of these on a split ring that I can run on any of my chains and then use it to rotate pendants quickly and easily.

Partial French hallmark. The piece is 18k solid gold. It has a rosy patina.

These are made with the ability to open and close the link with a tool like a pliers and the gold is soft enough to do this without damaging it. The back loop swivels all the way around.

Beautiful antique piece with a wonderful glow and sturdy hand feel. French hallmark for 18k and silver on the top of the clip. The spring inside is silver and the rest of the piece is solid gold. A lot of French clasps are fabricated in this way.

MEASUREMENTS:
19mm end to end. Weight is 1.4g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The loop is just slightly out of round. Looks worse in the zoomed photos than in reality.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
