I am back from my inventory trips to Europe with quite a lot of antique treasures to share with you! I also have one additional inventory trip to Europe later this year, so I will be rolling out new pieces almost every week from now on. Please stay tuned and feel free to follow on Instagram!
ABOUT:
Current earring favs! Chunky and bright old mine cut diamonds totaling around 3.5 carats total weight in diamonds for the pair. Quatrefoil in shape for a nice geometry and an amazing sparkle. Some of the diamonds are eye clean which we strive to find in antique, hand cut stones. Milgrain details surround the bezel set diamonds as was popular for the early 1900s period.
I love the geometric appearance to these old French beauties and the way the ear posts and dangling parts are independent but hinged together with a loop, to allow them to move, dangle and catch the light. So incredibly sparkly and unique.
The ear posts are stamped with the French hallmark for 18k gold. The push backs are stamped 750, which is the numerical hallmarking system used in much of Europe for 18k gold. So fun how they are antiques but still such a relevant, geometric design for wear today.
The push backs are the Alpa style with the push buttons to secure them to each earring post. They are spring loaded with little “buttons” on each side so you squeeze the push back to run it down the post. They can be pushed in almost all the way to the back of the earring, and they are in No danger of falling off because with the push buttons, they latch onto a little catch at the end of the ear post, meaning the push backs cannot be removed unless you manually press those little buttons on each side.
Antique box / props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
From the top of the ear post diamond to bottom of each earring is 21mm for dangle length. East to west at the widest area of the bottom is 10mm. The pair weighs 4.3 grams combined.
The largest diamond at the bottom of each earring is 4.8mm (and about a half carat). The other two are about 4.5mm and the top stone is about 2.5mm. Finally, the diamond on each ear post is about 4mm. Each earring totals about 1.75 carat in old mine cuts including all five stones, and the total carat weight for the pair is estimated around 3.5 carats.
I purchased these from a reputable source in France who estimated them at 3.5 carats for the pair as well, which aligns with my measurements. Exact carat weight is not known as I would never remove them from the antique settings.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. There seem to be in better than most condition with no loose stones and the bezels are in good shape. None of the diamonds are damaged and some of them are eye clean. Others have some faint natural inclusions but there is nothing eye visible except for one with a slightly eye visible frosty area. There are no dark carbon or glaring spots. Sturdy push button push backs that function perfectly. Typical antique diamonds with a slight warmth noticeable to one or two stones under lit magnification but overall well matched and bright while wearing. Attention grabbing and wearable to dress up or down.
But of course Due to age, please note this is not a mint condition item. Feel free to request additional photos and videos as I have many others besides the 10 allowed here.
I dearly love, collect, use and sell antiques so please check out my other listings and thanks so much for stopping by my shop!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
