I am back from my inventory trips to Europe and selling an assortment of vintage to antique hand picked pieces which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!
ABOUT:
Love a good watch chain and this one has all the extra bits and bobs. A French antique with plenty of the French stamps, this one is crafted in all 18k solid gold with a combination of buttery yellow areas and parts with a warm and rosy glow. So lovely! For added accoutrements, we have the extra large spring ring, a dog clip on the opposite end, cubes and oval design elements. So plenty of options to style, extend and connect it.
We call these types of designs "sputnik" now, like the satellite designs that came out in the mid-century period but were usually gemset. This piece is actually earlier and just happens to resemble the later design, but the ball rivet details were popular in the Victorian period using the orb like shapes with gold beaded detailing for texture.
Shorter in length, It does not fit as a necklace and is long for a bracelet. We antique jewelry enthusiasts incorporate them with the connectors on each end, for use as extenders or hooked together with other chains for wear as a necklace or bracelet. Or you could work with your jeweler to remove some links to wear as a bracelet with the attached charm.
Please note the measurements as we all come in wonderfully different shapes and sizes : )
The parts alone are quite valuable as the old salvaged XL spring rings and dog clips are always sought after, but I decided to sell this one has it came to me, with all the bells and whistles. It can be styled a few ways as shown in photos and you could open the jump rings to move things around as well.
Solid 18k gold, found in France with multiple French hallmarks for 18k, on the side edge of the spring ring, on the dog clip, even on the loop of the largest oval charm.
Any props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.
MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 9.3g. Stretched end to end it's 8 3/4 inches from clasp to clasp (the charm on chain adds length but it can't be connected to so it isn't usable length if that makes sense. The large spring ring is 15mm in diameter so it's medium sized and larger than most. The curb links are 2.9mm long, the largest charm 15x7.6mm
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No damage, just a lovely patina and surface wear as expected for age of over 125 years.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

Please feel free watch @mouseshouseantiques on Instagram for inventory drops, sneak peaks and previews! And check out my website www.MousesHouseAntiques.com as I can add more pics there so you can get extra looks : )
All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
