ABOUT:
This one has quite a sturdy hand feel at over 10 grams, best of the best quality to this French antique piece.
These Victorian antique watch chains are quite versatile to be worn in different ways. Short in length, they can be worn as a chocker or necklace with an extender. We often see these worn with two or more of them connected. It also works for me worn as a bracelet. (Important - please check the measurements as we lovelies all come in wonderfully unique shapes and sizes : ) - and this is a short chain).
This would have been used in the past to hold a pocket watch. But now it makes for interesting texture for your neckstack with alternating bar and chain links, the spring ring on one side and dog clip on the other. It does fit me as a choker but again it is shorter.
Crafted in glowing and rich antique 18k yellow gold. French hallmarks on the spring ring and there were some marks on the catch but they have softened from age.

Gauge: 3.5 to 4.5mm. Each bar section is 22mm.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
