ABOUT:
Really wonderful detail to this very Romantic French antique figural ring in 18k gold. At the face are two 3D rose flowers with little leaves splayed at each shoulder. At the center of the roses there is a little cabochon opal orb with a beautiful iridescence and pop of color.
The gold is a glowing buttery color with a lovely satin texture in the recesses of the design and rosy hues to the raised areas. Amazing intricate detail. I'm a floral motif lover so this is very on brand for me. It's a beautiful stacker adding figural detail to a ringstack.
This is an antique piece that I acquired in France from the Belle Epoque period. French hallmark for 18k on the back.
Antique box not included. Please note the detailed measurements that I always provide, as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures where I am required to show zoomed in detail.
MEASUREMENTS:
Ring is currently about a size 5 1/2, slightly over. On the finger, the ring face is 16mm north to south.
The piece weighs 4.4g so it does have some thickness and sturdiness to the gold.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some wear to the pattern from age over 125 years but about as good as we can find. Gorgeous gold work, lovely sheen and color to the opal.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
