ABOUT:
Antique signet ring in rich rosy 18k gold with embossed designs and a black rectangular border inlaid with black enamel. There are Rococo shell designs at each shoulder lovely, detailed gold work despite being quite a dainty piece. This old beauty is from the early 1800s Georgian era. Blank and ready to engrave / personalize if desired. Makes a striking and unique stacker with a great antique appearance.
This French antique piece from the Victorian era is one I purchased in Paris. No hallmarks remain but sold to me as 18k which is the standard there, from a reputable source in France and tested to confirm.
Antique box is not included. Listing is for the one ring with the others in the stack shown for color comparison and scale.
The edges are blunt from age having worn thin but it is still wearable and the enamel has a few areas of loss. One corner has a crease / crack to the gold from wear to the gold due to age where the connection between the rectangular face and the shank is separating but each corner has a punched design so it does blend fairly well. Just needs slightly more gentle wear so you don't catch the corner on something where it could pull up /bend.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 1/4. It weighs just 1.8 grams. The ring face is 7mm north to south, the face is 11mm wide.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
