ABOUT:
The skinniest little skinny band! This French antique piece has little chiseled details between tiny old cut diamonds set all the way around. A minimalist antique eternity band which is crafted in platinum with French hallmarks. It has a nice texture with little glints of sparkle. The diamonds are a mix of old single cuts, old mine cuts and rose cuts. This is common for the period as the jeweler would have just used what they had available to them. The differences are not discernible to the eye because they are very small.
A wonderful stacker, larger in size, I enjoy wearing it with yellow gold to mix metals. It also makes an interesting thumb ring or can be worn stacked with a smaller "keeper" band.
You might see a shallow impression on the side of the shank - this is the French hallmark for platinum! It is not a ding or dent.
Antique box not included.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 8 1/4. It is 2.1mm wide north to south by 1.7mm tall give or take as the diamonds crop out of the band. The diamonds are very small.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
I actually spent quite a bit of time cleaning this one but the stones and bezels are so small that lotion and soap buildup of 100 years remains. Could use another gentle soak but I didn't want to risk loosening anything. Lots of little stones set with lots of little bead prongs so I always recommend gentler wear on my antique pieces, especially as the underside of the ring on the inside of the hand hits surfaces while you are wearing them. Typical antique diamonds, some rougher cuts with uneven and irregular edges and frosty spots, they are small so this is not really eye visible.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
