Big stock drop of some vintage to antique bits and bobs, charms, chains, pendants etc., many from my inventory trips to Europe.
ABOUT:
Reproduction parts abound online but this is an actual antique bale with pendant holder salvaged off a broken necklace. Useful to have them around in the antique jewelry world the way we are always repurposing and building a unique neckstack.
Art Deco era French piece found in Paris. It is crafted in 18k white gold with French hallmarks. It is set with a little old mine cut diamond and a smaller rose cut to the teardrop shape.
On the back is the fixed loop to run it on a chain but below that is an additional loop that opens like a jump ring so you can attach a charm or pendant from the bale.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
11.3x4.8mm. It weighs 0.7 gram.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Note that the loop to run on a chain protrudes so it can sometimes teeter. This is how it was made. I'll leave the bottom loop open for ease in adding a charm or pendant or let me know if you'd rather I close it.
Typical antique diamonds, frosty with some natural inclusions but they are small and just add a glint of sparkle.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
