ABOUT:
Unique French vintage almost ; ) eternity band. This one with a flat edged cigar band setting that is squared off and uniform in width all the way around. It is set with lucky number 13 transitional cut diamonds 3/4 of the way around so while wearing, it appears as an eternity band with the diamonds reaching all the way around the sides of the finger.
Wonderful sparkle to the 1.8 carat of transitional cut diamonds. This one has a bit of height and a glowing 18k yellow gold coloring with the ring face topped in platinum as was customary for the period to set the diamonds in a white metal.
With the flat edges, it layers perfectly with other diamond bands, solitaires or gold bands and is perfect for a mixed metal stack with both colors to the piece. The other nice thing is with the strap of gold at the back, it can be sized unlike full eternity bands.
Found in France with their hallmarks for 18k gold and platinum at the back and a goldsmith stamp.
I could actually see this one as a wedding ring. Four chubby little bead prongs in good condition hold each stone securely so it is ready for regular wear. It layers really well but is substantial and interesting to wear alone.
Antique box / props, mice ; ) etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 1/4, weight 3.9 grams. 3.6mm north south and 2.2mm tall off the finger.
The diamonds are each about 3.2mm. I would not remove them for exact measurements but estimates to a little over 1.8 carat total weight in diamonds.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Edge is a bit blunt but this is just how it was made. Prongs are in great shape so it's ready to wear.
One diamond second from the end has a circular area of flakes of loss to the top edge of the stone. It is still complete / fully round and fills the setting but you can see the unpolished area. Typical vintage diamonds with some frosty specks. Nothing glaring. Some tiny carbon to one or two stones but no large inky spots and nothing really eye visible. Bright and lively diamonds!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
