ABOUT:
Versatile little studs in 18k yellow gold. These have a faceted gold button / geodesic dome design with flat backs and the 3D faceted top. Stack them up or wear them alone as a minimalist statement.
Beautiful design that appears both vintage and currently on trend. Found in France, they are at least vintage and older, to likely antique. Gorgeous glow and shimmer and lovely rich and warm vintage/antique gold patina.
Screwback fasteners.
Note that the ripples you see on the ear post are not damage, these are hallmark strikes leaving the little indentation there with the French marks for 18k gold and a goldsmith stamp one on the post and one on one screw back.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
8.6mm wide. 4.8mm deep for just the "button fronts" not including the post. Combined weight is 2.4 g. They are hollowed out in the back, but they are solid /real gold, not plated or gold filled. They actually have a quite sturdy hand feel and are not thin or tinny or flexible.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Note that the screw backs are closed at the back with the ball / bead detail so you can't screw them all the way to the back of the studs. Once the post hits the inside of the closed back of the screw back, that is as far as they tighten. This is not a defect, it is how they are made. You could also probably find push backs that would work with the ear posts as well. Surface wear but sturdy and ready to wear.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
