ABOUT:
Super sparkly and eye catching antique ring in platinum from the early 1900s. It has 11 diamonds, set in a navette shape with a linear X design of square cut sapphires. The diamonds on the face of the ring are all old mine cuts, and the additional ones at the shoulders are old single cuts / eight cuts.
But the best part of this ring is the wonderful filigree work under the ring face. The ring face is about 5.5mm off the finger with the diamonds sitting on a platform with ornate scrolling designs underneath. It is so beautiful from all angles and a very striking and unique design.
Antique box not included.
The hallmark is worn and eligible but I purchased it from an experienced antique jeweler who told me it was platinum.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 4 3/4.
The navette ring face is 19mm by 9mm by 5.5mm tall. The center diamond in the bezel is about 2.7mm to give you an idea of scale.
Weighs 4 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. The sapphires have some scuffs seen under magnification only. Typical antique diamonds with irregular sizes, shapes and some natural frosty inclusions. I don't see any chips. To the eye while wearing the ring appears complete and reflects the light beautifully. Fun piece to wear as it is so sparkly and with such a striking design and color contrast! But Due to age - please note this is not a mint condition item.
