ABOUT:
All original French antique Georgian era multi band ring. This little sweetie has three skinny bands connected by a floral cluster slider that can spin all the way around the bands, but holds the three skinny bands together. The center skinny band is braided and the flanking two are smooth for contrast. The floral cluster is holding six little rose cut diamonds in silver collet settings to resemble a pansy or forget me not. Such a romantic little piece.
Dainty piece similar to a semainier ring but with only three bands.
Found in France with their hallmarks for 18k gold.
The three independent bands allows you to splay them out when off the finger but I noticed it needs to be worn somewhat tightly on a finger to hold the flower in place. If worn too loosely, the flower ornament spins to the side and bottom. This is just how the piece was made. Such a sweet stacker.
This 200+ year old piece has a lovely antique patina with rich rosy gold.
Please note the detailed measurements that I always provide, as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures where I am required to show zoomed in detail.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Currently a size 5 1/2 on my ring sizer mandrel. It weighs 2.1 grams. The floral ornament is about 8mm in diameter. Exact measurements of the diamonds are unknown as the settings are closed backed and they widen out an unknown amount in the collets but they are small, about 2 to 2.5mm each.
CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Typical antique diamonds with natural inclusions, irregular facets and warmer gray to champagne hues from age to the foil. A few nicks or a rough edge seen under magnification but the diamonds are small so they just add a glint of glitter. These old diamonds were cut by hand so they may have always had a rough edge here or there. This is a dainty piece as the bands are very delicate. They have a few curves but are secured with the flower. Also with the closed back foil settings, you should avoid getting it wet. Patina to the silver that could be polished if desired. But with all my items - Please note this is not a mint condition item.
