ABOUT:
Fabulous and versatile piece to wear layered, alone, long or doubled. This vintage station chain is crafted in 14k gold and set with glowing oval cabochon garnets that have flat backs and domed tops. They have the most wonderful coloring - a berry pinkish purple with some deeper red hues depending on the light. It's just lovely. They reflect the light for a gorgeous pop of color from within, while alternating with the shimmering gold bezels and chain links. And so fun to incorporate into a neckmess because it can be worn so many different ways.
The spring ring is stamped 585 which is the numerical hallmarking system used in Europe - in this case for 14k gold.
MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 11.7 grams. It is 34 1/2 inches long. Each of the many little garnets is about 4.5mm by 2mm and 1.3mm deep.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No notable damage, it's beautiful. The stones are in excellent condition with hardly any nicks and a very nice sheen and polish. Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and flow, but it appears darker in color with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
