Halo O Perfect Circle ANTIQUE Perpignan GARNET 18k Pendant Geometric Charm Victorian French Belle Epoque

My next stock drop is an assortment of charms and pendants! Most of these I purchased on my inventory trips to Europe earlier this summer. A few of these are personal collection releases (wink wink to those of you who know about my garnet hoarding, floral, French, antique jewelry problem - whoopsie!)

This one was intended for my personal collection but after my trip to Perpignan France earlier this summer I realized I had a garnet hoarding problem so here we are. : /

My favorite stone in all the world - the Perpignan garnet! These special jewels are trademarked and made only in that area of Catalonia France. There have only ever been a small handful of makers in all the world at a time that were trained in the multi step process of creating these special pieces.

The perfect circle! This one is Victorian era, or more appropriately called Napoleon III since it is French. Pinkish purple hues with the glow from within due to the lovely reflective foil backing. Beautiful color and despite being so rich in hues, they somehow sparkle. This one has a great geometry making it a timeless design.

Crafted in 18k gold. It has a warm antique patina. No hallmarks remain but it is the typical fabrication of this French piece. It didn't have a loop aside from the attached square bale so I added a loop which is 10k gold, warmer in color to match the older patina of the piece (a new 18k gold one would not match the piece).

Additional items shown in photos not included, props, dishes, mice ; ) also not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Later jump ring as mentioned. Some dings to the domed backs not really seen while wearing. Slightly varying hues to the natural garnets. Gorgeous color

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
