Selling an assortment of antique jewelry. These items have been hand picked, one treasure at a time from all around Europe and the US as I try to curate a collection of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. Today's stock drop includes a lot of chunky and figural rings!

ABOUT:

One of the best antique wedding bands I have seen in awhile. This all original 1800s antique, substantial and thick band weighs 10.5 grams of solid 18k gold and measures 7.4mm wide north south on the finger. While being perfectly on trend for a chunky ringstack today, this is a Victorian era piece that has the added provenance of being dated and engraved inside:

"Robert, April 25th, 1867."

Domes beautifully off the finger with a high quality hand feel while worn and a warm rich antique patina to the 157 year old gold. It is hallmarked with an old version 18k stamp that has a nicely legible and deep strike and it also has a gothic font letter. The letter is similar to the ones we see on UK jewelry to serve as a date stamp but there is no assay mark. The piece does not appear to have ever been sized or altered in any way so I believe it was always hallmarked in this way (so nothing was lost in a sizing like we often see).

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 1/2, slightly over but seems to fit as a 5 1/2. The band is 7.4mm north south and domes quite thick at 2mm deep where it domes at the center. It weighs an extra sturdy 10.5 grams. It is all solid / smooth inside to use the maximum amount of 18k gold, not domed out to reduce weight as many gold bands can be.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Uniform surface wear that can catch the light due to the mirrored finish but it's a wonderful piece with no damage aside from what we expect to see commensurate with age.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

There are no dark spots to the gold, it just reflects its surroundings in the photographs at times.

Thanks so much for looking at my items!
