HEAVY 28g 18k Gold Solid Vintage Triple Strand Shimmering Liquid Chain Whale Tale Crocus Flower Ornament Snake Link Drapery Necklace

ABOUT:
HEAVY solid gold chain - Awesome shimmer and shine to this vintage chain. Collar length at 17 inches and heavy at 26 grams of solid 18k gold. Fun to layer but glimmers and glows worn alone. A really nice quality piece in excellent condition.

At the back is a single strand which leads down to whale tale design that reminded of a crocus flower, from which three strands in graduating lengths drape across the front.

This one is fabricated as a series of curved panel links so that while wearing it really hangs beautifully. With a very sturdy / quality hand feel.

Please forgive me that my gold chain terminology is not up to snuff, I would describe it as sort of a liquid / snake / serpentine chain but with fabrication similar to the omega chains with the little curved panels.

I found this one in the UK but it came from Italy, with their gold stamp and the 750 numerical hallmark used in Europe for 18k gold on the back of the clasp.

Props, bannisters, mice, ; ) other items not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

MEASUREMENTS:

HEAVY! A very sturdy 28 grams. 17 inches in length.

Each strand is about 2.5mm wide with a thickness / depth of 1.5mm. It has a push button clasp that nests into the back and a very secure safety latch.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

No notable damage aside from surface wear and what is expected for a pre-owned vintage piece. Gorgeous to wear!

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
