HEAVY 36.2g 18k GOLD Solid Two Tone Diamond Encrusted Curb Link Sturdy Vintage Chain Necklace Wide Chunky

Really Substantial vintage chain that has a wonderful shimmer and sparkle! This is similar to the diamond set model by Bulgari.

This exceptional vintage piece is in solid 18k yellow gold with five sections totaling fifteen links in white gold that are each encrusted with diamonds. These five sections alternate with the yellow gold links of the rest of the piece. The chains holds 40 little brilliant cut diamonds, set into the tops of those white gold links. The links are curb links that lie flat against the decollette with the interesting two tone coloring. The white links are graduating in size where the center one of each section graduates slightly larger.

This piece is crafted 18k solid gold, which has a buttery glow. It is in really nice condition with no dings or bends or ripples! You will notice on the back side, each link has an indented area but this is how it was made, presumably to reduce a bit of gold weight, although the piece still feels Super heavy. Often times these links are hollow with vacant space in between two "shells" that create the chain, but in this case, they are solid all the way through (except for that little indented area on the back from how it was made.)

I purchased this in France but it may have been made elsewhere, I believe Italy? It has the numerical 750 stamp in a cartouche for 18k gold on the clasp.

Antique boxes / items in displays in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs a VERY sturdy 36.2g of solid 18k gold. Stretched end to end it's 16 inches. The yellow gold chain links are 6mm gauge and 2mm thick / deep and the sections of white gold links are graduating larger towards the center measuring 7 to 9.6mm each.

Each of the little diamonds is about 1.2mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

No hollow links here, the links are quite sturdy, not tinny or flimsy feeling. There are no dings or dents so the gold even though the piece was clearly worn over the vintage period. Just surface wear and scratches that can catch the light due to the glowing, shiny mirrored finish, Lovely color and sparkle.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
