ABOUT:
I wish these were my initials! Such an interesting unisex band with raised initials at center flanked by two old mine cut diamonds. The monogram detail with the two diamonds almost acts as a three stone band with the figural motifs and sparkle. Very sturdy and quality hand feel with thick 18k gold. I love how the chunky old cut diamonds crop out of the ring face, I was told they total about .4 carat.
The letters at center appear to be an overlapping AM / MA, but also as a whole it resembles just an M or even a W when flipped the other way.
Found in the UK, no hallmarks remain.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Each diamond is about 3.7mm give or take.
Weight 9.25g
Size 9, a little over, does not reach 9 1/4
7.1mm north south and 3.6mm deep at the face to the raised initials.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Both diamonds have some frosty inclusions and one has some carbon specks. They are not huge stones so I would say slightly eye visible unless you are eagle eyed and seeking them out. : ). Shank looks slightly oval, this is not visible while wearing. The edge is a bit blunt when you run your finger across it but I do not find it uncomfortable to wear.
Note the little bit of dark fluff that was stuck in the recesses from a polishing cloth - this appears in photos but I was able to get most of that cleared out so it is much improved from the zoomed photos.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
