ABOUT:

Gah the color of these emeralds! My items do well without paperwork and I don't prefer to take pieces apart but these certainly have the look of columbians with the glowing vibrant green color.

This is a French vintage piece with a very sturdy hand feel weighing nearly 12g and crafted in 18k gold. The sleek and glowing rounded sides lead up to the three stones. The center is an emerald cut raised slightly, and then stepped down and tucked just underneath are two east west oval emeralds.

It is substantial alone but also stacks beautifully. I've had plenty of emeralds over the years but these are quite special to behold. The stones are guaranteed natural but again, I do not know about origin or treatment as I sell my items based on what I paid to acquire them.

Unique setting with the alternating shapes with such a glorious pop of color! The emeralds are in excellent condition too (we often find vintage pieces where the emerald is scuffed and abraided). Hallmarked for French 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp, it has a nice and sturdy hand feel.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 9 1/4, super sturdy - you would want to discuss with your local jeweler to determine their comfort level with sizing and to what extent as it depends on the person doing the work, often you can text or email photos from the listing for feedback.

The ring face is 7.4mm north to south tapering towards the back but a lot of thick and sturdy gold used and it stands 5.4mm off the finger. It weighs a very sturdy 11.9 grams.

The center emerald is 6.4x6.2mm, around 1 to 1 1/4 carat and the flanking stones are about 6mm by 4.7mm (I can't get exact width because they tuck under the center stone), but at least a half carat each?

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Emeralds and setting are in better than most vintage condition. One end stone has a tiny nibble to one spot in the facet and the other has two tiny interruptions to the surface from an inclusion carrying up to the surface, neither are eye visible. The center stone also has one tiny surface interruption on the outside edge from natural inclusions, again not eye visible. Sturdy setting with stable and long prongs ready for regular wear. The center stone does move in the prongs, and clicks slightly when you tap it but zero chance of it coming free. Some frosty natural inclusions but none appear milky and their color is exceptional.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
