ABOUT:
I love this chain! Closest descriptor I could find for it would be a flat Omega link, but this one has the added bonus of being reversible. The linear links are flat on one side and the other has each link ribbed and faceted to provide a texture. Both sides reflect the light for a fabulous shimmer no matter which way you go. I love its versatility in that way.
Heavy piece with a weight of almost 33 grams crafted in 9k solid (not plated or filled) gold so it is durable but not at all dingy or brassy, it has a wonderful, warm, true vintage gold color.
The chain has a scallop to it, each of the wide links is run on two smaller chains with the perfect amount of space to allow it to move and catch the light. Found in the UK with their hallmarks for 9k gold, Birmingham, date 1963.
The clasp also serves as a safety catch, where you loop it through the loop and then push it in to nest it, hiding it in the panels.
A unique one! Fun to layer and quite impactful on its own.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs a very sturdy 32.6 grams. About 17 inches in length, it doesn't stretch flat end to end because of the gradual scallop form to it. The panels are 5.8x3mm and 2.2mm thick.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No real damage, no dents or ripples. The panels are quite thick and sturdy compared to some of the daintier ones I've had. Some antique patina that could be cleaned up further if desired but most of my buyers prefer original patina. It has a rich and warm glow.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
