ABOUT:

It's all about the details!  This one here is my favorite pearl ring of all time ever!
It just has me swooning with the ornate scrolling hand engraved flourishes all around the ring face, shoulders and even the vertical edges around the locket compartment.

Just so beautiful and in really exceptional condition for its age and antiqueness. This Victorian era locket ring has a thickly domed glass panel cover which serves as a magnifier to whatever is placed within. It is surrounded by a halo of perfectly set pearls, neatly adorning the ring face providing an outline to the cover.

This one was most certainly a love token or a mourning piece, perhaps could have held hair but with a nice sized compartment, could also hold a photo, small gems as a shaker locket, etc. I actually love seeing it empty, it glows from within as the gold interior catches the light, making it almost appear like a gold signet at center.

Again, I am surprised at its condition, with the hinged compartment so sturdy and tight, able to be opened but snapping fully closed. That along with the tidiness of the pearls with little wear to their layers and no adhesive residue or buildup. It seems the piece was rarely worn. And of course we can't get over allllllll those engraved details.

Just a wonderful piece encompassing detail, sheen and glow. Why do I feel like that sounds like it was written by AI? I promise you, it is me and my words!

Found in France. It has their later hallmark for 18k gold and another older, worn stamp I can't decipher.

Antique boxes, props, mice : ) not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 8 3/4, The ring face is 19mm north to south, the glass pane is 14x8mm. It weighs 5.8g with hollow fabrication typical for the period but still a very sturdy hand feel.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

In better than most condition, I'm amazed at how tidy the pearls are. The hinged back functions like the day it was made, surprising considering 150 year old gold hinges. Some surface wear but even the glass pane has a beautiful sheen. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with the condition of this antique piece. It is exceptional.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
