ABOUT:
Unbelievable finger coverage on this one!

This unique, extra "chonky" Art Deco band is crafted in white gold and set with five old mine cut diamonds totaling around 2.6 carats all together. The diamonds are likely older than the setting with deep pavilions. They have a fabulous kozibe effect, all of them, where the open culet reflects a halo around the outside facets of the stone, a sought after phenomenon in antique diamonds.

The ring stands tall off the finger and splays out to gracefully but impactfully adorn the finger - I could see this layered with a chunky yellow gold donut band but it is also substantial enough to wear alone. This is a fun one to wear with the height adding drama.

Each diamond setting appears square in overall shape due to the unbelievably sturdy prongs in each of the four corners of each stone. Trust me when I tell you these stones aren't going anywhere in the next 200 years. I can honestly say it's one of the sturdiest set ring faces I've seen. I got this one in Spain. No hallmarks remain but it was sold to me as 18k white gold and tested to confirm.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6 1/2
Weight: 4.65g
north south measurement: 5.9mm
depth / Height off the finger: 7.6mm
22mm east west from end stone to end stone.

The largest center old mine cut is 5.5mm with a chunky cut and is about .7 carat alone, the flanking stones are 4.9mm and a little over half carat each. The end stones are 4.5mm and a little over .45 carat each. I would not remove the stones from the setting for an exact carat weight and I can't get an exact depth due to the setting but estimates to around 2.6 carats total weight in diamonds.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamonds. Varying degrees of slight warmth. Three of the diamonds including the largest one and one flanking it are eye clean. One of the smallest end stones has two carbon spots, not large or inky but more pinpoint spots with a bit of crystal to one that is slightly eye visible. The kozibe effect of the stone seems to mask the inclusions, hiding them within the reflections of the stone. One of the stones second from the edge has a smattering of gray carbon and crystal on the inside edge that is eye visible and can cause that area of the stone to read a bit gray. Again not a large solid black inky spot, but more of a gray and speckled inclusion. These things are typical for antique stones and overall not glaring. Assumed to be a custom made piece.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
