MOONSTONE Blue Antique Oval Solitaire Ring 18k Gold Art Nouveau Romantic Gift Glowing Orb Minimalist Victorian

ABOUT:
Elegant early 1900s moonstone solitaire ring. The oval orb has the most wonderful glowing blue color. The domed stone in classic prong setting reflects the light making it a very attractive stacker. It's so beautiful. Minimalist and timeless with the beautiful glowing flash of blue!

Found in France but no hallmarks remain, this is common for French pieces as they are marked outside the shank and often lost from wear or in a sizing. Sold to me as 18k which is the standard in France and tested to confirm.

Antique box / props, mice ; ) etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Currently a size 4 3/4 but a candidate for sizing. The moonstone is 8.8x6.4mm. It weighs 2.1 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The moonstone isn't as glossy as it once was, as it has some surface wear, but still a beautiful glow and color. Evidence of a sizing to the back seen only on the inside of the shank. There is a chip to the underside of one edge that you can detect when you tilt the ring but while wearing the moonstone appears complete / oval. Sold as is. The eagle eyed may catch some frostiness looking through the stone near that little shallow shard of loss but that is just build up in the setting so it could use another gentle soak if desired. Prongs in good shape.

It actually glows more blue in real life than is shown in the video. When flipped and worn the other way the blue schiller is stronger as shown in photos, this is common for moonstones where the blue glow is strongly directional.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
