ABOUT:

I purchased these four little glowing pinkish red gumdrops as a matched set / grouping from France. Antique components from who knows what, perhaps buttons or cufflinks. Each is set with a beautiful cabochon ruby with glossy domed top in a bezel with a loop at the center in the back. I decided to sell them as is because they can be used or converted in many different ways as preferred by the buyer. They look awesome as bracelet charms able to roll on the wrist with that gorgeous glowing color. With the loops at the back center, they hang downward on a chain so the loop location could be moved for wear as a pendant, or they could also be converted to gorgeous stud earrings. Note the small bales though, would need a dainty chain.

No hallmarks remain but test at 18k which is the standard in France.

They were very gently worn so they are in amazing condition for age with really no deep wear, beautiful glossy color.

I am selling these individually so the first to buy can have preference.
One of them has a closed / capped back in 18k gold with a loop, so it has a higher gold content, but that one tests as paste and not a ruby. It's possible the setting is interfering with the testing as it appears as a match to the yet.  The other one remaining has an open and the loops added to a cross section of gold, these are rubies, synthetic I assume due to their vibrant color and clarity. Not sure why the one is different but they are clearly a matching set!

Dainty! Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

MEASUREMENTS:
.92 gram each except for the paste one which has more gold but a less dense stone at a .71 gram. 7.9mm diameter. 8.7mm deep / tall including the loop, about 5mm without the loop measuring the bezel and the stone.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
