ABOUT:
I wore this one all over Europe after my last inventory trip. Certainly one of a kind, the original owner lovingly assembled a collection of 11 Victorian fobs / intaglio wax seals in antiquity and added them to the also antique 9k gold chain.

11 added pendants to the chain - Each little fob has its own uniqueness. Some are set with quartz (citrine, amethyst), others with semi precious stones like bloodstone, agate and white carnelian. Each has a different shape and form, many with gorgeous Victorian engravings to the gold work. Some of the gemset bottoms are smooth / flat and several are carved. The piece has various carved whimsical motifs to some of the pieces which were originally small wax seals for sealing letters - a bucking horse, a thistle, birds on a birdbath, a dove holding a vine, an anchor and a key and envelop motif.

Just a very unique piece, each with its own story to tell, which makes it a great conversation piece. And fun to consider that each fob has value sold on its own, even more as an assembled and wearable collection.

Found in England, only the chain is hallmarked in two places 9CT for 9k gold. I studied and checked each fob - three are gold filled, one is gold cased, the others test at 10 to 14k gold with the majority being on the lower end, possibly 12k (one of the standards in England) as they almost hold up to a 14k test.

Any props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos..

MEASUREMENTS:
18 inches, the gauge of the chain is 1.9mm.
Weight: 23g.
The fobs all vary from one to another, 15 to 19mm in height.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
A few spots of solder from a weld or fortification. Some wear to the gold fill. A few nicks and nibbles and surface wear but all the intaglios are still legible with no cracks and damage to interrupt the designs. Some of the gemset ones that are not engraved show some age to the foil back and slight discoloration. Varying patina and hues but a special piece, sturdy and wearable for another 100 years.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
