OPENING Art Deco 13 Diamond Encrusted Hinged Bale Circle Pendant Charm Holder Useful Original Parts Findings Vintage Connector

Big stock drop of some vintage to antique bits and bobs, charms, chains, pendants etc., many from my inventory trips to Europe.

Another scarce finding, I have never had one like it.

This little Art Deco vintage diamond encrusted part has a secret. While it appears like a circle pendant, it has a latch that opens which makes it super useful as a pendant or charm holder, to easily swap in and out various pieces in your neckmess. It is also lovely with a chain run through it and worn as a pendant itself. So a bit of a two for one here. : )

This French piece is crafted in 18k gold and set with little single cut diamonds for sparkle. Sturdy and well functioning. Closes securely with the little latch.

It has a French goldsmith stamp, I couldn't find any purity hallmarks. Sold to me as 18k which is the standard there and tested to confirm.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
15mm in diameter. Weight is 2.6g. It's about 2.6mm thick so note that the pendants have to have a largish sized loop to be able to run on it, it isn't incredibly dainty like many pendant loops are. The 13 diamonds are about 2.1mm each. About 0.45 carat total?

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some variations under magnification to the diamonds but no glaring issues. Super sturdy and useful.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
