ABOUT:
This one would make an awesome extender or connector as well as a pendant WITH gold hook pendant holder. This French antique floral brooch is crafted in mostly silver with an 18k gold hook and gold vermeil backing. (The pin post and some other parts are metal). The ornate piece is set with a garnet and rubies along with old cut diamonds for color and sparkle.

This one was originally a pocket watch holder, as it has a little hook at the back that would have held the watch. Now it makes a great pendant holder. Note that it currently has no loops to hang from a chain, only the pin back, as I will leave it up to the buyer to work with their jeweler to determine how exactly they would want to style it. Many of us wear these brooches as is, or attach a chain to each side for use as a connector. But if loops were added to the back on each side, it could be worn at center, with the ability to swap out pendants to hang from the hook at the bottom, or it could be worn to the side as well.

Even with the pin back, this one wears well on a chain and doesn't teeter.  I don't see any hallmarks on it but the parts were tested.

Antique boxes, chains, props in photos is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
38x32mm.

It weighs 6.1 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Sold as is.
Plenty of patina as the piece is primarily in silver with just the hook in 18k gold. Some other gilding to the back as well that has patina and a bit of verdigris. It could be polished up but most of my buyers prefer original patina. The largest stone is a garnet while the rest are rubies but it was always made this way and was common for the period for jewelers to use what they had available to them, and in this case, making the stones well matching in color and hue. Nicks and nibbles to the stones, the piece has age and wear. The diamonds are frosty and one has some small chips. One is a single cut and may be a replacement but this is not really noticeable while wearing.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

My disclaimer with all my pieces - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
