ABOUT:
Of all the ring requests I receive, the old mine cut cluster is the one in highest demand. And this is quite a fine one with 11 old mine cuts totaling around 1.5 carats total weight in diamonds. Amazing glitter factor with that chunky antique sparkle. This one seems to read a bit more compact with the way the diamonds are set. Please note the measurements. A timeless classic with exceptional sparkle factor.

This is a Paris find. French hallmark for 18k gold used primarily in the 1800s and discontinued by the early 1900s. The ring face is topped in platinum as was customary for the period to set the diamonds in a white metal (it was thought to increase their brilliance).

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6 3/4
The center diamond is about 4.5mm and about .45 carat. The ten outlining diamonds are about 3mm each give or take. I do not remove the stones from the setting for exact carat weight but estimates to around 1.5 carat total weight in diamonds.
Ring face: 12x10mm
Height off finger: 6.5mm tall.
Weight: 3,2g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds with some faint frosty inclusions, none are frosty all the way through, but rather just a slightly visible to very slightly visible spec here or there.

A few worn prongs as expected for age but each stone is held securely on multiple sides and none of the stones move. The center stone is extra sturdy, set with long prongs on all sides. It is the smaller stones that show a bit of wear to the outlining prongs.

Typical antique diamonds with natural inclusions, or a tiny frosty spot here and there to the old cut stones. Again, mostly seen under magnification since they are small diamonds. One of the end stones appears a bit frosty when studying it through. The end stone on the opposite side is tilted a bit in the setting but held securely in place. These are the old hand cut stones that provide a beautiful sparkle and that great antique look.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
