ABOUT:
Unique 18k gold necklace with the small curb link chain leading down to an oval panel holding a 1/3 carat old mine cut diamond. Could be Art Deco era with the geometric design, but possibly earlier. Interesting to stack with other chains - a timeless design with a nice sparkle and the glowing gold.
Found in Paris, France with French hallmark for 18k gold on the loop of the pendant and on the chain, and a 750 stamp on the clasp, which is the numerical hallmarking system for 18k gold used in Europe.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
The diamond is about 4.4mm and a little over .3 carat, so about 1/3 carat (I would not remove it from the setting).
The chain is 15 1/2 inches in length.
The pendant itself is 23x12mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Nice clarity to the stone with only the faintest natural inclusions seen only under magnification. It sits low in the setting but does not move so it is nested well in the bezel. There are solder marks at each end of the chain links, where they connect to the loops that hold the pendant, and to the loops that hold the clasp and catch. Surface wear to the oval panel made more notable by the mirrored finish. There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
