ABOUT:
Halo rings are always very popular in my shop but this one is made even more special by the oval shaped the tall ornate center. The center of the ring face holds little rose cut diamonds in a white gold or platinum illusion setting. It's cobblestone finish give the ring face a nice texture and chunky sparkle.

The halo of trapezoidal carre cut sapphires are channel set to add a wonderful pop of color. They vary in size to nest perfectly into the oblong oval pane. Comfortable to wear as well with the gracefully domed ring face. It has a beautiful openwork gallery with scrolling details underneath the ring face which props up the stones making it attractive from all sides.

Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 1/2

The ring face is 11.3x9.8mm and 5.3mm tall off the finger.
The ring weight is 2 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Wonderful color and sparkle!~ Typical antique diamonds with some faint natural inclusions. The rose cuts have some frosty spots. A lot of what you see in the pictures is actually build up behind the ring. I gave it several cleanings, but the small openings behind the stones are hard to get at so it would brighten up even further with a bit more of a gentle soak and brushing, just being careful not to loosen any stones.

You can also see some buildup between the cut sapphires but they all tuck within the channel setting of the gold halo surround. They are all complete and fill the setting but some have some chips and small flakes of loss so the surfaces are a bit uneven - something to look for in photos even though the halo is complete. They still appear complete in shape.

Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : ) There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
