ABOUT:
The gorgeous peridot stone always offers such a fun coloring to a ring stack. This is the perfect one to layer with the step cut rectangular stone set east to west in a sleek 18k retro vintage setting.
Linear details at each shoulder to the glowing 18k gold which lead up to the vibrant lemon lime green stone.
Found in France, it is stamped at the back 750, the numerical hallmark used in Europe for 18k gold, it also has another hallmark that looks like "C0045", perhaps some sort of serial number. Even though I found it in France, I think it might be from Italy with the AI in the stamp?
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
A snug Size 7 1/2.
The peridot is 7.9x5.9mm. It stands 4.2mm tall off the finger.
The piece weighs 2.9 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Natural inclusions to the stone, two that appear like shadows that are oval in shape, these can sometimes catch the light but are somewhat masked by the color of the stone, and then there are some small interruptions to the surface of the stone that appear to be natural inclusions carrying up as they don't appear like abrasions. These are seen mostly under magnification as the stone has a lovely sheen and polish overall. It appears quite shiny and glossy but I always describe everything I see under magnification. The edge of the shank is blunt at the back. The stone moves just slightly and can "click" when you tap it but it is well held by wide straps of gold on each end.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
