An awesome high carat gold antique poesy ring engraved inside:
"Godes Blesing is my Porcion" ("God's blessing is my portion") with a little hand engraved star.
Highly collectible! Most often these early antique poesy rings contain incorrect spelling in their various phrases. This one is post medieval but still antique. The rings were popular from the late medieval period through the 18th century with the earlier ones displaying the old English as in this case.
This one is a great unisex option with sturdy hand feel measuring 7.2 grams of high carat gold. No hallmarks remain but it holds a 22k gold test so it is that carat weight or higher. With awesome old hand fabrication marks seen under magnification. Found in England.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Uniform surface wear and old fabrication marks. Some nicks and a bit of a blunt edge but super thick and sturdy and still nicely round. All age expected so no real damage considering how old it is.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
