ABOUT:
I love floral antique jewelry, and of course have a deep passion for French antique jewelry - this is about the prettiest motif I have seen.

Each of the 7 marquise links have an openwork bleeding heart floral pattern with gracefully draping flowers and a swirling leaf flourish. Textbook French Belle Epoque Art Nouveau gold work with the satin texture and high shine areas, almost appearing hand wrought. They even hand etched a few lines on the back sides of the links to mimic the floral pattern - such as detail not even seen while wearing.

Very sturdy hand feel. Often during this period, we would see links created with vacant space inside them and a seam seen under magnification where the gold was curled to form a link or pressed to present a repousse pattern. This one is Solid Gold all the way through in rich and wonderful 18k gold.

French stamp for 18k on the dog clip which is a replacement. It would have been stamped on the original clasp but is clearly solid 18k gold, the standard in France, and tested to confirm.

Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
It is 6.75 inches stretched end to end, might fit a slight bit snugger with the curved links? I have a 5.5 inch wrist, it fits me well but would fit a larger wrist even better. I'll be wearing it a lot until it sells.

It weighs 10 grams so it has a very sturdy hand feel. Each of the floral links is about 22mm by 7.5mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The dog clip clasp is a replacement with a slightly rosier patina but functions well. An Art Nouveau work of Art!
