ABOUT:
I love these antique slides. This would have come off an antique watch chain but it has an opening in the middle to slide a chain through so they make great spinner pendants or charms. This one is shield shaped with vacant space in the middle and two openings on each side. It is set with a collet set green paste meant to look like an emerald.
Pretty on a chain even when it can roll around as the back is also engraved so it's ornate at all angles.
Sold to me as 14k gold and tested. Beautiful warm antique patina.
The chain in the photos is not included, it is a modern costume chain from Target that I use for staging. : )
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. I like to include group shots to give an idea of size for comparison as well.
MEASUREMENTS:
17mm end to end by 9mm north south x 7mm deep. Weight is 2.5 grams
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
A few nibbles to the paste but a lovely color and inner glow to it. A tiny pinhead hole on one side, exaggerated by the zoom photos much more than in real life. Some discoloration at the seams where the two sides were soldered together. Note the small openings on each end in regards to running a chain through.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
