ABOUT:
A fun figural antique stick pin encrusted with rose cut diamonds. The awesome original patina to the piece gives it a great antique look and lets the diamonds really pop.
I think this is a musical instrument : ) a harp or a lyre but to me it also reminds me of a trident like King Triton from the underwater kingdom of Atlantica used (Ariel's dad in the Little Mermaid : )
Appears hardly worn and comes in its original box. It would be an excellent candidate for conversion to a pendant or charm.
I got it in France, there are two stamps, a goldsmith stamp and another one I couldn't decipher. It is crafted in 18k gold with the pin face topped in silver.
Antique boxes, chains, props in photos is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
The pin face is 18x11mm.
It measures 72mm long and weighs 2.8 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
As mentioned plenty of patina, the silver top appears quite dark to black but I didn't want to polish the top and risk rubbing against the little rose cuts as not a stone is missing. Typical antique diamonds with some frosty spots, hues and natural inclusions and warmth, as expected for the period but they are small so nothing glaring.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
