ABOUT:
A multi colored gypsy ring set with rectangular center sapphire flanked by a rectangular emerald and ruby. In between are smaller brilliant cut diamonds so you could call it a seven stone gypsy or a three stone gypsy with accents. ; )
Unique with the multi colored ring face, fun to layer and stack. Slightly raised but flat cigar band face that tapers slightly towards the back but remains quite sturdy all the way around.
Sturdy shank and setting. Found in France but made in Italy. It has a hallmark inside with a star, 2056 AL. The 2056 being the maker's identifier and the AL for Alessandria, Italy. There is an impression on the other side inside the ring that may be a hallmark strike but I can't decipher it.
Very striking alone but also suitable for stacking and layering. The stones test as the correct gems but may be synthetic as I have not taken it to a gemologist so I am selling it with no claims or guarantees that any of the stones aside from the diamonds are natural.
Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6
Weight: a sturdy 4.65 grams
Ring face north south: 7.2mm
Height off finger: 2.8mm.
The stones are 3.8 to 5mm north south.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The ruby has some facet abrasions and the emerald has some inclusions.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
