ABOUT:
At the moment I am especially drawn to stackable diamond bands and this is a lovely one. I try to acquire as many as I can because they are so versatile and wearable that they are always very popular.
Antique 15k gold ring holding six old rose cut diamonds in diamond shaped bezels, almost like an argyle sweater pattern. The hand cut stones providing a lovely texture to the ring face from the hand cut stones. It is glittery and a striking one to wear and stack with a wonderful patina of antique gold that has rosy hues from age.
Found in England with Birmingham hallmarks for 15k gold. The date stamp is worn but it is an antique mark from the late 1800s to early 1900s.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6 3/4.
Ring face: 5.6mm north south.
Weight: 2.2g.
The diamonds measure 2.5mm each give or take.
CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamonds with some natural frosty inclusions, nothing glaringly eye visible. They do have some frosty girdles and rough edges, likely always were that way from having been hand cut. They have a nice dome compared to some of the thinly sliced rose cut discs out there, which are also still lovely. Versatile band to layer with a nice sparkle.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
