SLIDE Pendant Natural Pear Ruby Emerald Rose Cut DIAMOND Victorian Antique EXTENDER Connector 14k Gold Silver Collet Pink Green Part Finding

ABOUT:

Larger size antique gemset slide pendant. This was probably on a watch chain at one time with multiple chain strands running through it. It is crafted in 14k gold and set with natural rubies, emeralds and rose cut diamonds, some pear cut, one square, etc.
I love how they set the diamonds in silver collet settings with foil backing, and then set the other gems in contrasting yellow gold collets. When I saw it, I also envisioned this as an extender / connector, as a loop could be added to each end connected and then to a chain.

Wonderful color and sparkle. No hallmarks remain, this is common as it was likely stamped on the chain or whatever this was connected to, but it tests at 14k.

Any props / chains not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
20x14x4.8mm. It weighs 2.8 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The openings are a little rippled and uneven from the chain that evidently ran through it for 100 years. There's a small trip to one corner of the center square ruby but the gold collet surrounds it so it is actually not really visible except under magnification. The foil backing is in better than most condition for age with the diamonds appear warm to peach but not dark or rusty. Note the small openings at each end. Buyer may need to remove the loop from the end of a chain, to run a small chain through it and then reattach, or add a jump ring to each end to make it easier to attach a dog clip to, etc. These are also sometimes added to chains to rest vertically above a dog clip pendant holder.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
