ABOUT:

Special, all original Georgian era bracelet in rich 18k gold. The piece has a large square clasp that serves as both ornament and closure, decorated with cobalt blue and white enamel with leaves amidst delicately engraved gold. The bracelet is a four strand cable chain which is connected by four linear bars again accented in blue enamel for interest at all angles.

Full hallmarks for Sweden, 18k gold, date mark 1801. Amazing to find this 220+ year old piece with no repairs and all the original enamel still complete. It is so beautiful and surprisingly sturdy with a nice quality hand feel. Ready to be worn and enjoyed another 200 years.

Comes as pictured in burgundy leather antique box with blue velvet and white silk interior (the box unfortunately does not latch closed.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

It's 7 inches stretched end to end, not including the tongue insert of the clasp which nests into the enamel ornament. 19mm north to south on the wrist. It weighs 16 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

As with all my pieces these are pre-owned and in estate condition. The only thing to really report are the scratches to the enamel with some tiny nibbles of loss on the clasp. It is shallow wear and does not cause any loss to the blue color or go anywhere near the underlying gold, but when you study the surface of the enamel in a reflection you can see the scratches. Face on, it is not visible. Some of the linear bars of enamel also have a nick or nibble but again no major chips or loss to any of the coloring. Other than that, the piece is in excellent condition considering it is from the year 1801. But as with all my pre-owned pieces - Please note this is not a mint condition item.
