ABOUT:
Love the color to these antique garnets - this Georgian era pendant is set with flat cut round pear / teardrop and even square at center garnets in cut down gold collets. Gorgeous colors of pinkish purplish red, slightly varying in hue but all complimenting eachother overall. The color is like a juicy berry, some grape or raspberry hues. Set with foil back settings to really glow and reflect the light from within. And their surfaces are glossy and shiny - very nicely polished.

There is also a pin back for wear a brooch if desired but those parts could easily be nipped off as the pendant components are already there. I didn't want to remove in case someone liked the versatility of its double duty.

No hallmarks remain but almost holds a 14k gold test, so may be 12k gold as I found it in England. It has a warm rosy patina to the domed backs - Gorgeous antique gold.

Chain in photos is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:

27mm wide and tall, not including the dangling gemset jump ring. It weighs 3.7grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Two of the pears are chipped right at the tip on the inside, one more of a chip and the other more like nibbles, I did not even notice this until really studying it because it is tucked slightly under the collets and facing towards the center garnets. All sides of the stone are still held securely in the bezel, but please seek that out in the photos, especially the zoomed one which, using the zoom feature will magnify it 20 times what is seen by the eye. Some nibbles but we don't really see any of the surface abrasions we often see on a piece of this age - they have a gorgeous sheen and polish over all. Some natural inclusions to the garnets, wonderful colors and an awesome glow. I don't see any repairs.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
