I don't source a lot of earrings anymore, they can be a bit finicky and selling them online leads to buyers' confusion with size and how they function. Measurements are always in the listing and I went for these because I love the striking double star shape! These are slightly less finicky in that they have the normal hinged back which has tension to the ear wire (compared to the hooked end versions). Please note the measurements!

French Victorian era pair in rich 18k yellow gold with rosy highlights and green gold leaf details, like only antique gold and their alloys used over 100 years ago can do : )

Beautiful design that appears both antique and current on trend, would be a beautiful something old for a bride. These are inserted from the back of the ear towards the front, and latch into the little ball rivet detail atop the front of the earring.

Some patina could be cleaned up if desired but most of my buyers prefer original patina on their antique pieces. One of the center rivets has a small ding and the other has a small hole to the gold. Not super noticeable while wearing but something to look for.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
16mm from top of ear wire to base, by 11mm wide. Combined weight is 1.6g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

They function well with tension remaining in the latch back which springs closed, although probably not as tightly as it did over 100 years ago. They are ready to wear, but I never recommend 24/7 wear on my earrings with 125 year old gold hinges. : )

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, small nicks. They also may have some build up and some imperfections and other age related wear, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any glaring issues above and they are all still functioning and wearable. For pieces with more patina, this can always be cleaned up / polished by the buyer but most of my customers prefer original patina so I am selling them as is.

Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
