Up next I have some stackable bands at various price points.
Unique design to this fun, vibrant green emerald ring. The square and rectangular stones are set in a starburst pattern adding a nice geometry along with the fabulous color.
Also unique that this one has the date stamp for 1924, but is engraved inside "David, 1967". Perhaps it was a family piece passed down and later personalized, or bought in 1967 as a vintage piece at that time. I always wish I knew the stories my pieces could tell.
Found in England, Birmingham hallmarks for 15k gold, 1924.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 1/4
Ring face: 8.6mm north south, the stones at the center are about 2 to 2.5mm each with the end stones being smaller.
Weight: 1.8g.
CONDITION NOTES:
Two of the stones are square while the others are rectangular. I'm not sure if they are replacements or the jeweler of the time just used what they had available to them which is a common practice. They all have similar surface wear and a few nibbles. Beautiful coloring.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
