Starburst Ruby HALO Rose Cut Diamond Ring STAR Spiderweb : ) Detail 18k Gold French Antique Belle Epoque

I always try to source these ruby halo rings and this one has a really fun design! The center starburst design is set with a single rose cut diamond at center amidst an illusion setting where the chiseled white metal (likely platinum) give the appearance of additional gems the way the metal is faceted to catch the light.

That center design is a sort of sun or star burst shape, but to me also kinda looks like a spiderweb : ) It's really cool! Gives it a striking look on the finger with a gorgeous pop of color. Flared shoulders and reeded shank.

This hallmarked French antique piece is crafted in 18k gold. The rubies are often synthetic in these settings, a very popular choice for the period, so I am selling them as such to be safe with no claims otherwise.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4.

The ring face is 11mm north south. It stands 4.5mm off the finger.

The piece weighs 2.4 grams.

CONDITION NOTES:
This one is actually in really good shape, it just has some buildup around the halo and behind the little rose cut. I'll give it another gentle soak before shipping it, but I just try to not over scrub these 125+ year old pieces with small stones. Overall beautiful coloring and lovely sparkle. The back of the shank is a bit thin and blunt but still 1.5mm.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
