ABOUT:
Dainty French antique solitaire with rosy gold 18k shank. The little quarter carat old mine cut diamond is held up tall in a long pronged setting to catch the light and sparkle. Sweet little stacker. These are fun to layer and I like having a smaller solitaire when I want to make a more minimalist statement or when I am traveling. This one still has some fun drama with the nice height to it. The prongs are excellent so it is ready for regular wear.
Antique box is not included.
Please note the measurements as it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 3/4, Diamond is 4mm and measures about .25 carat. The ring weighs 1.95 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique old mine cut diamond.
There are linear crystal inclusions along one side but it tends to get lost in the reflections of the faceting, I can't detect it with my eyes which are in their fourties : ). Nothing crossing the center of the stone and no dark carbon. Shank is a bit blunt on the edge from the thin gold at the backfrom wear over the years. Lovely patina.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
