Three Stone 1.1 Carat Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Ring Rose Accents French ANTIQUE Boat 18k Gold PLATINUM Tall Stacker
ABOUT:
This is a fun one to stack or wear alone with a nice impact from the old cut diamonds. The tall and sturdy ring face holds the three stones slightly splayed across the finger with a boat shaped face. There are rose cut accents at each shoulder. Crafted in 18k rosy gold and topped in platinum, the ring face has a nice height to it.
French hallmarks for 18k gold and platinum. The diamonds total around 1.1 carats.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
The center diamond is about 5.5mm and the flanking diamonds are each about 4mm. I would not remove them from the antique setting for an exact measurement but estimated a little over one full carat / 1.1Ctw.
Size 6 1/2, the ring face is 7.4mm north to south, 14mm east west not including the rose cut accents, 5.3mm tall off the finger. It weighs 5.3 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Very nice clarity for antique stones, they are eye clean with no nicks or chips. Very faint inclusions like a dust particle speck seen only under strong magnification and even then, hard to detect, no long needle, feather or carbon spot inclusions whatsoever. One of the side diamonds does have an extra tiny facet polished off the edge of the culet that can catch the light - we see this sometimes with antique hand cut stones. Slight warmth to the stones, also common for diamonds of this age.
Quite a sturdy setting in typical age appropriate condition - always good to keep an eye on the bead prongs over time but none of the stones click or rattle.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
