Two BIRD Swallows French Antique 18k Gold Victorian Art Nouveau Pendant Pearl Dangle Ruby Eyes Figural Animal Jewelry

My peeps know I love figural jewelry so this one is very me!

Two figural swallows / birds with wings overlapping meet at the bottom to hold a dangling pearl. The outside eye of each is set with a little cabochon ruby for color.

Gorgeous detail and texture to the feathers and their 3D bodies. The loops at the tails allow chains to extend up to the jump ring to add to a chain.

According to Google ; ) - The swallow also represents love, care and affection towards family and friends, showing the loyalty of the person always returning to them. The swallows also represent everlasting love and are associated with loyalty and fidelity.

Found in Paris. With French hallmark for 18k on one of the loops. It has a rich and warm antique patina to the gold that we collectors so adore because it can't be found on modern gold pieces.

Chain in photos is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:

The birds portion is 29 by 22mm. Adding in the chain it dangles 37mm. It weighs 1.9grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The fabrication is hollow so the back has some dings and impressions and patina. This is not seen while wearing the piece and doesn't affect how it wears but seen when flipping it over. Some patina from age.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
