ABOUT:
I love the drama of a navette and here is a unique one with those awesome old triangular cut diamonds on each end. Add in the pop of color from the rectangular old cut ruby / pink sapphire at center and the sparkle of the 36 surrounding rose cut diamonds (including the two on each ring shoulder) and this ring has it all!
Hard to find diamonds with these cuts so you're assuredly the only one wearing one like this. I got this one in Paris, I love finding old cut diamonds in shapes outside of round. And with the bezel settings holding the larger gems, it is quite comfortable to wear.
No hallmarks remain which is common for French pieces but sold to me as 18k which is the standard in France and tested to confirm.
It has a two tone look to it with the shank and back of the ring face along with the ruby bezel in yellow gold while the ring face is topped in platinum as was customary for the period to set diamonds in a white metal.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7. It weighs 3.4 grams. The ring face is about 20.8x8.7mm.
The triangles are about 3.8mm which estimates to around .2 carat each. The rose cuts are small, about 1.5mm each. Exact carat weight is not possible to determine with so many differing stones while set but estimates to over 1.1 carat in diamonds.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The triangle diamonds are eye clean and the ruby is in great shape. The rose cuts are typical for the period, rough cuts with uneven edges, frosty spots, non uniform shapes, much of this has always been this way from having been rough hand cuts from so long ago.
I always recommend gentler wear on my pieces with so many small stones. The three bezel set stones are very secure though.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
